The men and women we affectionately call The Greatest Generation are leaving us quickly, we lose over 1000 WWII vets every day now. Many of these fought WWII, came home and went to work rebuilding our nation. Few have been able to see the memorial built in Washington, DC to honor their service. The Airpower Foundation and American Airlines joined together to take 80 WWII vets from Oshkosh, Wisconsin to the nation’s capitol to see their memorial. The smiles of these patriots tell the story of the recognition received and honor paid.
